Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced their split after five years together on August 14. Since their unexpected statements, there has been speculation as to why their relationship ended, and the resurfacing of recent comments.
Fans were shocked as the couple, who first met on Love Island in 2019, confirmed theend of their relationship in a shock statement.
In the social media posts, the couple both referenced the love they have for their daughter Bambi, one, and their dedication to making their only child a ‘priority’.
Molly-Mae’s statement emphasised her disbelief that it had reached this point and got fans speculating about the cause of the breakup.
‘I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,’ she candidly shared.
Fans are baffled as to what could have caused the breakup of the decade and have questioned why this golden couple have parted ways.
Rumours have already begun circling about cheating, with reports also suggesting that Tommy has already moved out of their dream home they purchased together in 2022.

Clashing statements
In her statement, Molly-Mae hinted at why the Love Island couple had split: ‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
‘After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.’
She continued: ‘I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.’
‘Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x.’
This is the announcement that sparked national uproar and infidelity rumours.
In contrast, Tommy had a much shorter statement that echoed his ex-fiancée’s sentiments but without any hint at the reason behind their split.
‘I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship.
‘The past 5 years led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi & I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.
‘Please respect our privacy, and our family’s privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.’
Rumours begin swirling
On July 25, just three weeks before announcing their breakup, Molly-Mae called Tommy the ‘love of her life’.
Of course, nobody thought anything of this at the time but since the breakup was announced fans have been scratching their heads about what could have possibly caused such a huge turnaround.
Sources have spoken out claiming there was infidelity at play. A source told The Sun: ‘Molly-Mae is now aware Tommy was unfaithful to her.
‘She believes it has happened a number of times. It seems he would play away when he knew people wouldn’t recognise him.
‘Molly-Mae is absolutely heartbroken and says she fully expects that other women are going to come forward and speak to her about him being unfaithful.’
The source added that the star was completely ‘crushed’ by the news of her partner’s cheating.
The intense rumours have even resulted in wild accusations. Lissie Rhodes, an influencer who holidayed in Dubai at the same time as Tommy and whose father was a boxer, was forced to take to TikTok to tell fans that her pregnancy had nothing to do with Tommy Fury.
‘Tommy Fury is not my baby’s dad,’ she commented on one of her videos following intense speculation from fans in the comment section of her video.
As the rumours mount, social media analytics firmCoveragely revealed that the breakup caused a dent in Tommy’s social standing as he lost 20,000 followers across his social media platforms – suggesting fans are believing the speculation, or have less interest in him now that he’s not the partner of Molly-Mae.
Tommy moves out
It was then reported that Tommy had already moved out of their dream home together, which they renovated to their specific needs.
‘The decision was made for him to go properly,’ an insider toldThe Sun, adding: ‘Molly is completely heartbroken and is holed up with her nearest and dearest at the moment.
‘It’s been incredibly difficult and she just didn’t want him in the house anymore.’
Although Molly-Mae had hinted that she might be considering selling the home and flipping it earlier this year, it has now been reported that the star is planning to stay in their home.
A source told The Sun: ‘Molly has dropped the idea of selling the house.
‘She loved the process of doing it up and that sparked the idea of flipping it, and taking on another fun property project.
‘But things have dramatically changed since April, and she knows she’ll need stability for her and Bambi over the coming year as they navigate their new life.
‘It’s just not the right time to take on a project of that scale.’
Living separate lives
On August 7, just a week before their split was announced, Molly-Mae posted a YouTube video in which she said she had been ‘struggling’ and ‘solo parenting’ Bambi in recent weeks.

The star then added: ‘I feel like we’re going through a little bit of a challenging phase. Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot.’
These comments seemed to suggest that there was perhaps something more going on under the surface of their picture-perfect life together.
The star also opened up about having a non-existent sex life because of her health issues with endometriosis.
In her 2022 autobiography, Becoming Molly-Maethe star wrote: ‘Before I was with Tommy, I wasn’t really having sex, so I didn’t really think there were any problems other than my period pains.’
‘I was suffering horrendous pain – literally feeling like I’d been stabbed in the stomach – just awful. And it was causing me so many issues.
‘Big TMI [too much information]! But my sex life just became non-existent: it was just not part of our relationship.’
She also has spoken about how having her daughter impacted her sex life, explaining that Tommy was reluctant to have sex with her during her pregnancy and they were too busy to think about that side of their relationship after their daughter was born.
Supported by friends
Since the split was announced, Molly-Mae has reportedly been supported by her friends who are keen to look after her.
A friend told The Sun newspaper that Anouska Santos, who is dating England footballer Luke Shaw, has been a ‘rock’.
‘Anouska is like a rock for Molly and she was there with her today when she pressed post on her split statement.
‘Molly wanted a steady hand by her side and Anouska has been a great support to her.
‘She has told Molly that she will always be there to help and has offered to help out with Bambi at the drop of a hat,’ the source added.
On Thursday the star was seen in a car with two friends visiting a McDonald’s drive-thru near the Cheshire home. A small group of friends have been seen visiting the TV personality at her home, including her long-time manager Francesca Britton.
Sadly there is one key person missing from Molly-Mae’s support system, her sister Zoe.
This is because Zoe Rae (formally Hague), 28, is currently on honeymoon with hernew husband Danny Rae. The couple are in Dolomiti and Rhodes for their first trip as husband and wife, but the timing means Zoe can’t be with her sister right now.
It has been reported that Paris Fury, who is married to Tommy’s brother Tyson Fury, has reached out to the star with her support.
The MailOnline reported: ‘Paris has sent a message just saying she’s there for her. Her and Tyson adored Molly and Tommy and are gutted it’s not worked out.
‘They’re not taking sides and Paris just wanted to make sure Molly was OK.
They added: ‘She was “fully accepted” into the Fury fold and treated like one of the family.
‘Molly loves Tommy’s family and hopes she will be able to stay in touch. They will still be a part of their daughter’s life moving forward even if Tommy and Molly won’t be together anymore.’
TV show shelved
Despite meeting on Love Island, the former couple have rarely returned to screens, except for their guest appearance on Tommy’s half-brotherTyson Fury’s Netflix series with his wife Paris.
But it seemed prior to their split, all of that was about to change as the couple had reportedly been in talks with Amazon Prime about their own series showing their home life with Bambi and upcoming wedding preparations.
Negotiations were reportedly ‘well underway’; however, following news of their split, The Sun revealed on Friday that the plans for the three-part mini-series had been shelved.
Tommy’s 40-minute visit home
On Saturday, just days after announcing their split, Tommy was spotted arriving at the former couple’s £3,500,000 mansion inCheshire.
The boxer looked downcast as he wore a white t-shirt and grey joggers to pick up their young daughter, Bambi, before taking her on an outing.
Photos taken during his short trip to the mansion appeared to show Molly-Mae has been having a big clear out as a large orange skip sat outside with a suitcase and other discarded items inside.
The father-daughter-duo were later seen getting ice cream at a local park marking the first time they had been seen together since news broke of Tommy and Molly-Mae’s separation.
Molly-Mae was understood to have been away from the house at the time of Tommy’s visit and was later photographed in her Mercedes-AMG G 63 Magno Edition going through a McDonald’s drive-thru with her friends.
The influencer was not wearing her£600,000 engagement ring.
While they weren’t pictured together, a source told The Sun, the former couple did have a brief reunion in which they spoke only about their daughter.
‘She [Molly-Mae] is only thinking of their daughter and what is best for her,’ the insider said.
Tommy denies cheating allegations as Molly-Mae’s mum rallies
On Sunday, it was revealed Molly-Mae is being comforted by her mother, Debbie Gordon who was seen taking the former couple’s daughter out and about.
Debbie wore large dark sunglasses, a grey top and a black jacket as she took Bambi, who was in a stroller, out for a walk.
The same day, a representative for Tommy denied fierce rumours the boxer kissed aDanish woman in North Macedonia.

It was also revealed that he is ‘gutted’ their relationship came to an end and is‘fighting to get his former fiancée back’.
Source claims split was ‘a long time coming’
An insider spoke to The Mirror on Sunday, claiming the former couple’s breakup had been a long time coming. The insider said Molly-Mae was growing tired of her former fiancé ‘gallivanting around the world while she was looking after their child’.
‘Problems had been growing for a while. Increasingly, it seemed like they were living two very different lifestyles’, they said.
Molly-Mae has been vocal about the time she spends ‘solo-parenting’ on her YouTube channel, which has 1.86 million subscribers.
In an update video posted earlier this month, she told fans she was struggling to find a work-life balance as a parent and even more so as she was doing a lot of ‘solo parenting’ with Tommy away for work.
‘I, to be honest with you, have been not feeling… like, I mean this week has just been a lot of emotions,’ she told viewers.
She continued to say Tommy was extremely busy as he was working on an audiobook project: ‘He’s done it now, and I’m so proud of him because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week.’
Molly-Mae added that she was sharing her struggles to help others who may see themselves in her: ‘I feel like we’re going through a little bit of a challenging phase,’ she said. ‘Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot.’
Molly-Mae and Tommy take security action after park ‘abuse’
Tommy and Bambi’s park outing on Saturday included a security escort with The Sun revealing he and Molly-Mae have been forced to increase their security measures following their split.
Speaking to the news outlet, an insider revealed that the former couple made the decision because of the ‘massive public reaction’ to their split.
An example of this, they said, was an angry woman reportedly verbally abusing Tommy while he was in the park with his young daughter. The woman allegedly called him a ‘cheating scumbag’.
‘Molly-Mae and Tommy have both got security watching over them,’ the source said. ‘It sounds extreme but there has been a massive public reaction to their split.’
They continued to say Molly-Mae’s fans are ‘very angry’ with the boxer and the former couple aren’t taking ‘any chances’ when in public because of Bambi.
