Jeremy Clarkson has splashed out £1,000,000 on a pub in the Cotswolds – but has got more than he bargained for.
The Clarkson’s Farm star, 64, has added The Windmill to his ever-growing business portfolio, which also includes his famous Diddly Squat farm and shop.
But according to the former Top Gear presenter, the pub, which is nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, is also a renowned dogging spot.
Sharing a clip of himself outside his new boozer, Jeremy lifted up a stick with a pair of black and pink lacey knickers on the tip.
He said: ‘Tell me you bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site.’
The Grand Tour host’s 8.3M followers were quick to share wisecracks, with @s27gdm quipping: ‘Rename the pub The Dog Inn.’
@lorrainesimpsontravels added: ‘Oh no!!! 🤣🤣 we bought some cottages and found a bunch of sex toys in the attic. Since then many people have stopped by to tell us they lived there. You don’t know how difficult it is to not ask them if the sex toys belonged to them. Hilarious good luck with the pub! Hope you film it as I’m sure it will be hilarious.’
@fergus_foodandme joked: ‘@jeremyclarkson1you could call it The toad in the hole inn or the naked lady inn or diddly dog inn. Just some suggestions and I’m a huge fan of top gear, diddly squat farm as well as your work in the Sunday times ! 🙌🤣.’
Jeremy bought the pub within minutes of meeting its original owner Jackie Walker, 79, and plans to front a TV show, like Clarkson’s Farm, documenting his efforts as a landlord.
The broadcaster owns the freehold to the boozer and it is not attached to a brewery, meaning Jeremy will be able to sell his own beer and produce.
Speaking to the MailOnline, Jackie, who opened The Windmill in 1983, explained how Jeremy gave her an offer she could not refuse moments after meeting.
She said: ‘We had met for coffee at his house, and I took over the maps of the place. He and his partner Lisa were charming, and I really liked them.
‘I had not been planning to sell the place, but I wasn’t that happy with how it was being run and I am not getting any younger.’
In his Sunday Times column, Jeremy detailed his vision for The Windmill and said he had always dreamed of owning a pub.
He wrote: ‘I hadfailed to get planning permissionto turn a barn on my farm into a restaurant, but I still wanted somewhere where I could sell all that we make here. And my own beer in the taps too.
‘I also wanted a room I could turn into a clubhouse, which, on wet weekdays, would provide a mental health forum and a free pint for the nation’s farmers. I wanted dogs and families round the fire.
‘And a restaurant where absolutely everything had been grown or reared in Britain. Even the salt, pepper and wine. I had even decided there’d be no coffee or Coca-Cola.’
Jeremy is also in the middle of filming Clarkson’s Farm season 4.
The third season of theAmazonPrime series hit screens in May andquickly broke viewing records, at the time becoming the second most-watched show of 2024 on all major streaming services in the UK.

The show follows Jerem’ys haphazard attempts to run his own 1,000-acre Oxfordshire farm, with the help of farm manager Kaleb Cooper, land agent Charlie Ireland, ‘head of security’ Gerald Cooper, and his partner Lisa Hogan.
